Staffan Ahlgren
Staffan is an entrepreneur and investment professional with more than 35 years of experience in private equity, M&A and the scale-up of recycling ventures.
He co-founded Tyre Recycling Solutions in 2016 and led it as CEO until 2023, taking it from a start-up to a 30-person company, raising close to CHF 40 million from more than 80 investors in the Middle East, Asia and Europe, and building a network of recycling partner plants in Turkey, Spain and the Middle East. Since 2024 he has led Ahlgren Advisors, advising on private equity, fundraising and M&A, and co-founded Energy Carrier Solutions, a hydrogen-technology company.
Earlier, he was Managing Partner of ValleyRoad Capital, Director and Head of Nordic Countries in private banking at Credit Suisse, and founded or led several private-equity and M&A advisory firms in Switzerland. A former President of the Léman Venture Capital Association, he holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Lausanne.

Maxim Gorbachev
Maxim is an investment professional with over 25 years of experience across multiple sectors. He currently leads investments for Dealite and serves as Chairman of Aizoi in Italy, as well as a non-executive director at Vital Healthcare Group in the UK and Composite Recycling in Switzerland.
Previously, he was Managing Partner at Unicorn Capital Partners and led portfolio management at RMI Partners. Over his career he supported venture financing, M&A activities, NASDAQ IPO processes, and held board positions in technology and healthcare companies across the US, Europe, and Israel.
Maxim holds an MBA from Vlerick Business School, along with master’s degrees in applied mathematics & computer science from Lomonosov Moscow State University and in finance from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Dr Pascal Gallo
Pascal co-founded Composite Recycling in 2021 and is Chairman of the Board.
A physicist, he received his PhD in 2006, specialising in quantum physics and crystal growth, and then joined EPFL as a research scientist working on metal-organic chemical vapour deposition. He moved to industry in 2012 as operations planner at BeamExpress, a developer of low-power telecommunication lasers, became chief business development officer of Novagan, a high-efficiency lighting company, in 2014, and in 2015 co-founded LakeDiamond, a producer of lab-grown diamonds.
He is the author of more than 80 scientific publications and several patents, and also serves as General Manager of Composite Recycling France.
