Dr. Pascal Gallo - Chairman of the Board

Pascal co-founded Composite Recycling in 2021 and serves as Chief Growth Officer and Chairman of the Board, deploying next-generation solutions for the recycling of composites.

Using the fundamental principles of thermolysis, he worked successively as operations planner from 2012 at BeamExpress, a telecommunication company developing low power consumption lasers, as chief business development officer from 2014 at Novagan, a company developing high-efficiency lighting solutions, and then in 2015 he co-founded LakeDiamond, manufacturing lab-grown diamonds.

Pascal received his PhD in physics in 2006, specializing in quantum physics and crystal growth. He then joined EPFL in Switzerland as a research scientist, focusing on metalorganic chemical vapor deposition. During his career Pascal, who has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed publications and patents, has always been inspired to pursue meaningful, cutting-edge technologies with the goal of reducing our environmental footprint.

Vincent Comte

Vincent is a Swiss-French technology executive with more than 30 years of experience in engineering, MedTech, and industrial scaling. After early engineering roles in the US and Switzerland, he founded Electromag in 2003, based at EPFL’s Innovation Park, developing high-performance electric motors for medical applications.

Under his leadership, Electromag secured partnerships with global device manufacturers, implemented semi-automated production lines, obtained ISO13485 certification, and grew to over 70 employees before being acquired by Mabuchi Motor (Japan) in 2021. He is now active as an angel investor and mentor supporting industrial and deep-tech ventures.

Vincent brings strong technical expertise, experience in regulated environments, and a full start-up-to-exit track record. He holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Mines (Class of ’87).

Maxim Gorbachev

Maxim is an investment professional with over 25 years of experience across multiple sectors. He currently leads investments for Dealite and serves as Chairman of Aizoi in Italy, as well as a non-executive director at Vital Healthcare Group in the UK and Composite Recycling in Switzerland.

Previously, he was Managing Partner at Unicorn Capital Partners and led portfolio management at RMI Partners. Over his career he supported venture financing, M&A activities, NASDAQ IPO processes, and held board positions in technology and healthcare companies across the US, Europe, and Israel.

Maxim holds an MBA from Vlerick Business School, along with master’s degrees in applied mathematics & computer science from Lomonosov Moscow State University and in finance from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
